About Our Programs
In addition to the public charity work done by the RGV Entertainment Group
through the multi-talented skills of our own performance groups - The Vintage Players, The Timeless
Dancers, and The Ageless Singers - and with the cooperation of our
partnering performance groups - The ???????????, and The Golden Tappers
- the RGV Entertainment Group is now making an extended performance menu
available to the public for paid private performances. Click The Creative
Expressions Show button on the left to access the complete program menu.
All funds raise by these performances will help support our performing arts public charity
program - STS-TPA (see
below) - and our participating member
funds sharing program. At present
that program is supporting VFW Post 2035 located in Brownsville, Texas.
So, add some spice to your next event by treating your guests a 15 to 60
minute quality theatrical show featuring stage performance, creative dance,
and a combination of lip sync and live voice. Choose from our already
existing programs or allow us to create a custom show just for you. A new
show requires six months notice. Please
contact us for program information. |

Our Mission
Operating as a 501c3 charitable non profit, the RGV Entertainment Group
functions as a production company dedicated to the advancement of senior
citizen physical and mental wellbeing through performing arts. The focus of
this program is on persons over the age of 45 that live and work in the
lower Rio Grande Valley. In our effort to accomplish this, we encourage
permanent as well as temporary winter residents to become involved in the
wide variety of productions we support. Through our supported arts program,
we are trying to bridge the social gap between temporary and permanent
residents, senior citizens and the younger generation, and the local Anglo
and Hispanic population. The RGV Entertainment Group is an all volunteer
organization and does not maintain one salaried position on its staff. Every
penny donated goes directly into supporting this senior program.

Our Extended
Mission
Our current mandate
is "Service To Seniors Through Performing Arts", or as we refer to it STS-TPA.
This is a project made up, wholly of ambulatory, still young at hart
seniors, from the local community. The project's mission is to improve the
quality of life of those local seniors that are now physically unable to
care for themselves, and are confined in rehabilitation facilities or
assisted living centers. In short the program is about seniors taking care
of, if only for a brief moment in time, the well being of other seniors. The STS-TPA
program will be provided free of charge to all those it was intended to
serve. It is funded by donation from our sponsors, fans, and revenues
received from charged performances of our Mobile Theater Program.

Mission Directed Senior Performance
Programs
In
addition to our own projects, as well as supporting our
partnering groups, we also provide any physical or technical
assistance needed by the Palm Resaca Players. A small, but
very effective local senior performance organization,
comprised of mainly winter residents, located in Palm
Resaca Park Brownsville, Texas.

Fund Sharing Program
We have recently
extended our charitable giving's mission through a newly created Fund
Sharing Program. The first organization to benefit from this program was our
local VFW Post 2035. At present, one dollar from every full price ticket sold at
any of our mobile theater
performances will be donated to the VFW's Ladies Auxiliary . We encourage everyone to support our nations veterans. One way
you can do that is to purchase a ticket to our programs, we'll do the rest.
